Recko uses very little. Two things it needs to work, one thing it asks permission for, and nothing at all for advertising.

What we set

Essential — always on

  • Sign-in cookies (Supabase).Keep you logged in between pages. Without these you’d have to sign in on every click. They expire when your session ends or you sign out.
  • Your cookie choice.Stored in your browser so we can honour it and stop asking. Slightly circular, but we have to remember a “no” for it to mean anything.

Analytics — only if you say yes

  • PostHog.Counts page views and which features get used, so we can see what’s working and fix what isn’t. Hosted in the EU. If you decline, the script never loads at all — it isn’t loaded-then-ignored.

Not a cookie, but worth listing

  • Your location, if you use “Near me”. Kept in your browser for up to 30 minutes so a search can centre on you. It never reaches our servers, and clearing the location chip deletes it.

What we don’t set

No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no social media pixels, no data sold to anyone. If that ever changes we’ll ask first, not update this page and hope.
